Psychology studies human behavior and aims to help the individual create a more balanced emotional state, understand its purpose in this life, create healthier relationships (with self or another), create healthier behavioral habits and a happier life in general.
Spirituality embarks the individual on a journey to understand ourselves in relation to What Is. It s exploration of the ultimate reality, our purpose of existence, our place in that reality and how to live in harmony with those understandings, how to integrate them in our lives (spirituality is not limited to religious beliefs or practices).
Spiritual attainment doesn’t necessarily guarantee emotional maturity and vise versa. Transpersonal psychotherapy recognizes that both disciplines are complementary to each other and are necessary for Self-realization.
